This is a super fun necklace. It would make a wonderful gift for a Les Bernard lover or excellent addition to your ever growing jewelry collection. Please look at all of the images closely so you can form your own opinion of the item’s condition. To me, over all I think it is in great vintage condition. Wear consistent with age but it looks like it was carefully stored as I don’t see scratches on the beaded parts. There are some random flaws/ chips in the disks, which are best seen in the video. Most people won’t care as it is a cool vintage piece. Some may care, so please look over it carefully. Personally, I think this adds to the vintage look, but that is just my opinion and I love older looking vintage pieces that appear to have lived a glorious life. The piece does need a good cleaning, but I leave that up to the buyer so I don’t ruin it. To me, the color looks like a dark salmon with a pin hue, as opposed to orange. There are brass colored beads and disks layered in between some beads. These, along with the hang tag, show wear or tarnish and may or may not clean up when you clean and polish them. I didn’t want to take a chance ruining them with today’s harsh chemicals. I did lighting rinse & wipe them for you, but nothing heavy duty. What are the beads made of you ask. Good question. I honesty don’t know. It is a heavier necklace so perhaps lucite or a heavy plastic. I am not an expert, but the white disk beads feel like they may be glass which gives the necklace some good weight. Condition: Vintage or preowned jewelry typically shows wear constant with its age. That is why we love it so much. The images are a major part of the description so please zoom in and look closely so there will be no surprises and you know exactly what I am selling and you will be receiving. ** Most of the time, I try not to disturb any vintage/preowned jewelry by cleaning and/or polishing it in order to keep it in its original patina leaving it to your discretion. I do not want to take a chance ruining something. Depending on your own taste, you can either clean or polish it or keep it in its original state. My jewelry comes from estates, individual consignors, individual or bulk purchases, etc. In most cases, I do not know the history of the jewelry nor where it has traveled or been stored. Most importantly, I have no idea if it has been around pets, smoke, air fresheners or any sort of allergen or if it smells. (I do not smell jewelry) Thanks so much for looking!
