Vintage 63 IDEAL TAMMY Doll Barbie IRWIN Sports Car EXC Org BOX Rep FLAG BIN!

Description: Tammy doll & her family are ready to roll in her vintage Ideal bright blue convertible car from 1963! This colorful car comes in its original box and is in Excellent & Complete shape with nice chrome & windshield, a replaced "Tammy" paper pennant flag, and the Silver IDEAL sticker emblem on the trunk! This car shows very little wear or age issues & will look great in your vintage doll display! Everything shown is original except for the pennant Tammy flag, which is a color copy of the original flag. Please note that the Tammy doll is not included in this sale, she is only a model:) I've collected vintage Barbie for 30+ years, and I scrutinize items I sell on eBay. If you have a question I haven't answered in my description, please ask me. You may want to save me as a seller, as I am selling a large vintage Barbie collection on eBay. This will be shipped in a large box, so shipping is for the Continental US & Canada only. This bright convertible has very low miles, and luckily the original owner didn't have any brothers to race it! Tammy doll looks very cute on display in this vehicle, and of course Barbie is willing to drive it also! The car has a nice clear windshield with the original screws in, and shiny "chrome" steering wheel & bumpers with little oxidization. The hub caps and wheel don't show any scratching or scrapes. The only sign of play wear that I notice is a small scuff on the driver side of the car shown in the main pic & pic #2, just in front of the door, and this hardly shows under normal lighting. (My photo lighting highlights this more than normal lighting). Most of the chrome parts are shiny still, but I notice the driver side headlight has darkened a bit, see pics #7 & #8. The IDEAL paper sticker on the trunk looks good, and the shape of the sticker makes me think that this car is modeled after a "MG", see pic #11. I made a color copy of an original Tammy pennant, and glued it onto a longer size needle, which will insert into a hole on the hood, where the original wire holding the flag went, see pics #5 & #6. You can put a dab of craft glue on the bottom of the needle after it's inserted into the hood, to keep it in place. I will ship the pennant laying flat in a plastic bag, so it doesn't get damaged during shipping. The original box is sturdy and intact with all the sides and lid present. The Tammy graphics are cute, and still bright in color. There is some creasing along side of the "flap" part on the box lid, see pic #15. I looked in a Tammy collector's guide, & I see that the box is designed so you can pull up the notched lid part with the Tammy in car illustration, for display, which might explain why there is some creasing along the notched part. The box shows some pen ink writing on the top and one of the sides, see pics #15 & #18, but it isn't very distracting. I see a little old tape residue on one short end, see pic #19. The inside of the box bottom has several "poke" marks, see pic #20; but these do not show on display. This bright Tammy convertible & original box makes a cute backdrop to showcase your favorite Tammy dolls!
