Description: Vintage 60s Squiggles Lava Lamp Gold Spaghetti White Base (Rusted Base) RARE ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is a pre-owned collectible. It's a rarer gold spaghetti (Squiggles) one but the base does show some rusting, as seen in the images. It's rusted though the paint but not though the metal. It can be refurbished or left as is. The switch probably should be replaced. It's a little tough to get it to stay in place, which is a sign of a worn out switch. I have two Squiggles lamps but only proper bulb. The other one (which I'm selling in another listing) originally had the original bulb in it which I took out and put into this one. This one will not accept newer bulbs. Those are taller while the older ones are shorter. This one needs shorter bulbs. I'm unsure of how strong the older bulb actually is as the bulb is unmarked and that lamp was also unmarked. There is a sticker inside of this one saying it can take up to 40W A15 but it's nearly impossible to find a bulb the correct length for this in either 30W or 40W. The globe is very cloudy and it's hard to see the wax go around on this one. You can just barely see your fingers when put behind it, so it's pretty cloudy. I've heard that these can be refilled, but the cap is on very tight I'm not 100% certain how to remove it. The wax is red and the fluid very cloudy, probably from dies and such. The final image which looks different from the rest was taken a month prior on a different bulb. As you can see, it bubbles up well enough, but that could have been because it was on top of a much newer and incorrect length bulb. The very old bulb it has now doesn't seem to get as warm and doesn't make these nice bubbles. Basically, this needs a new bulb but it's going to be hard to get one that will allow the globe to sit properly on it. I've read online that these older lamps really need to be run under a dimmer regulator and you need to adjust them properly to get desired bubbles without wrecking the lamp. I've seen a lot of people saying that Squiggles needs 30W, but the sticker inside of this one says 40W. Please note that they go for up to $400 in top mint shape. I'm asking half of their proper value due to the rusting at the bottom which is very reasonable. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Please check out all my goodies and you can combine to save on your shipping costs.
