Description: True vintage straight from the original owner! This velveteen dress with puff sleeves and empire waist is from 1966 or 1967 and was worn to prom by my mother. She doesn't remember where she bought it - likely just a shop in her small town - and she either cut out the tags or they were never there in the first place. I wore it a few times when I was younger, but now neither of us fit into it, so here's a chance to buy a true 60s dress. The dress perfectly fits my 34-25-35 dress form with room in the waist. The fabric has a little stretch but I would not push it too far or it would ride up as you walk. PLEASE NOTE that my camera and your screen may alter the colors of this dress. It is a rich raspberry color. Really a beautiful shade. Measurements: 34" bust29" underbust seam (can stretch to 30")36" hip (can stretch half an inch or so)37" long from top of shoulder to bottom hem27" long from underbust seam to hem Condition is good for its age. It has some pulled threads and does shed some fibers when worn. There are a couple spots where the velvet has balded a bit, as seen in the photos. The eyes of the 2 hook-and-eye closures are just thread (and likely always have been). The zipper is in good working order, and the elastic in the sleeves/shoulder still stretches. I included photos of the inside of the bust and hem. Except for my wearing it a few times in the 90s, it has been in a closet for over 55 years! Unknown fabric content. (The shorter pile and lack of high shine indicates velveteen rather than velvet to me.) Dry cleaned and ready to wear.
