"RELIC" Fender Squier BRONCO/MUSTANG BASS Short-Scale *UPGRADED/MODIFIED *LOOK!

This started life as a brand-new 2024 Squier by Fender Short-Scale Bronco Bass. It's been modified, upgraded and "Relic'd" (or Aged), to somewhat resemble a well-used vintage Mustang Bass. Solid Poplar Body with a gloss Arctic White finish. It's been distressed showing a slightly dulled finish, finish swirls and chips to replicate age & playwear from years of use. "ALL" the Hardware has been aged, down to every screw! These are cosmetic only modifications that doesn't affect playability.ALL the Electronics have been upgraded from the originals. Note that Squier Bronco Basses actually come stock with a 6 pole-piece "Electric Guitar" Pickup, just like the vintage Fender Musicmaster Bass did. Pickup has been replaced with a brand-new staggered 4 pole-piece Alnico-5 Magnet Fiber Bobbin Single-Coil Bass Pickup with waxed cloth wiring, that seriously sounds fantastic in this Bass! *See picture of the exact type of Pickup prior to installation. I've used this very same Pickup in numerous Bass Guitars I've upgraded, modified and sold on eBay. It has strong output, presence and with the Tone Control rolled back a bit, has a thick warm thump. Original factory 250K Mini-Pots were replaced with full-size Alpha 500K Pots (the same brand Fender often uses), a "Mallory Orange-Drop Cap" and all the wiring was done with vintage style waxed cloth wires. Original plain white Pickguard replaced with a custom (made by me) Mustang Bass shaped White-Pearl Pickguard with beveled edges, that goes perfect with the Arctic White Body finish. Also has a custom (made by me) Control Plate, made of thick, strong Mirror Pickguard Material that looks just like the chrome metal plate on Mustang Basses. Original chrome Tele style Knobs replaced with Black Mustang Bass style Knobs and a Thumb-Rest was added. These were also aged and lend to the vintage/retro Mustang Bass look!Original Short-Scale Neck has a very comfortable modern C-Shape with a 19-medium Fret Maple Fretboard. 30" scale, 9.5" Radius, 1.5" Nut width. To further improve playability, the Fretboard has been lightly sanded with a very fine grit, buffed, oiled, then thoroughly buffed again to make the Fretboard very smooth, much better than it came from the manufacture and plays with ease! *I do this to almost all Guitars I sell, used & new and makes for a significant improvement in playability. Frets are mint perfect and have been polished so they're bright & slick, and the Fret Ends rounded for a comfortable feel...no sharp fret ends. *Note that the Fretboard wasn't distressed for best playability. Back of the Neck also lightly sanded to remove some of the original clear coat, buffed, oiled, then thoroughly buffed again. *Back of the Neck wasn't distressed either for great playability. There aren't any dents or dings. It's "ultra-smooth" and fast! Headstock has a vintage style water-slide Decal applied and the entire Headstock sealed with Lacquer. Retains the serial number. Sealed Gear Tuners also aged. Original Squier neck-plate replaced with a new (and aged), chrome Fender logo Neck-Plate. *Note that this Bass of course wasn't made in Corona California, it's just the Neck-Plate I chose to use to replace the Squier logo Plate.Original .45-1.00 Fender Nickel Roundwound Strings are mint, and a complete set-up done, including: truss-rod relief, action, intonation & pickup height. Absolutely wonderful playing & sounding Bass Guitar with a unique look and vibe of its own and is an affordable alternative! Like most of my Relic Guitars, the intention was to make it look like an "under the bed find" of an old, well used vintage Bass Guitar. If you like the popular "Relic" look, I believe you'll LOVE this Bass! A cool, one-of-a-kind Relic Mustang style Bass with a vintage/retro appearance, like it's been gigged for years! Weighs 7.4 pounds. NO CASE.NOTE: Stock Bronco Basses are fairly inexpensive because the Pickup & Electronics are cheap, and minimal workmanship is put into the Neck. If you've ever played a stock Bronco, you had to have noticed the inexpensive finish applied to the Neck and the Frets usually have sharp ends that require attention. These things are understandable so they can offer a low price. I've taking this Bronco Bass to a completely higher level, by replacing the Pickup & Electronics with quality components and put in meticulous attention to detail into massaging the Neck and Fretboard & Frets, so it feels and plays incredible! Absolutely blows away a stock Bronco Bass in tone and playability...period! *Use the Zoom feature and look closely at every inch the Relic details. I consider Guitars to be "playable Art", with the playability of the Neck & Set-Up of course being key. I'm not a professional Luthier, but well above an amateur & I'm "extremely meticulous"! If you're looking for this type of Bass Guitar, think about if other Sellers work on Guitars (most don't) and know how to set them up. Is the Neck straight, Truss-Rod functional, Fretboard clean? Are the Frets oxidized needing cleaned & polished, have dead frets or buzz that requires the frets to be leveled? Will the Strings be rusty or dead, needing a new set (and Bass Strings aren't cheap)? And if it's a used Guitar, I'm sure you've found they usually arrive dusty, needing cleaning and require tweaking just to be playable! Not this one! Also, will other Seller's description be as thorough as mine? Remember that you get what you pay for!This being said, I must also note: The Neck is perfectly straight, and it plays great, but I can't predict how you like your Guitar set up, so be advised that adjustments or a set-up to your preference "may" be required, and if you can't do it yourself, the costs associated with these adjustments should be expected. Also note that Guitars are made of Wood, and when in transit to you, temperature changes and/or Delivery Service Handling can affect my initial set-up, that again may require adjustments on your end.
