Description: Miscellaneous Railroad Company 32Obs-AthSLPassenger Car Interior KIT for the Athearn 72ft Stream-Line Observation CarThe interior has a small Kitchen, a Bar, seating with tables for 18 passengers, 2 “Jump seats” near the Bar, and Observation seating for 12. There is a lavatory and a closet on the vestibule end. The interior features accommodate the car window and door locations.There are holes in the floor to fit around the truck screws. The partitions are low enough so that lighting may be added inside the roof. (Plan for your wiring)The standard steel weight must be replaced.LSW products are available separately. INSTALLATIONLSW100 is recommended for car weight. (LSW products are not included in the kit.)The pilot car has 8 7/8th piece of LSW100.The pilot car weighs 6.3 ounces with the interior; NMRA RP20.1 specifies 6.0 ounces.Use a hand-held single-hole punch to make the holes for the screws.This KIT consists of 2 pieces to create the interior. Test-fit before you start gluing. There may be some trimming, sanding or filing involved.Super Glue may be used for assembly. (Use a ruler as a guide to insure the interior is straight while gluing.)Populate the interior before installation.Bond the interior to the installed LSW100 with automotive weather-stripping adhesive.NOTE: Cyanoacrylate adhesives are NOT appropriate for this application. The product is manufactured from tan aliphatic polyester resin and can be painted.(The pilot model is not painted.)
