Description: An original screen used Nightmare Before Christmas gravestone (roughly 11"), seen during Jack's Lament, pictured in image 2. All gravestones within this scene are slightly unique in shape, but as you can see in image 1, this item is identical to the one pictured in the shot of the film. This particular piece has 20 seconds of screen time, is during a famous sequence, and is the shot just before arguably the most famous sequence of the movie: Jack walking along the spiral hill. All of these factors make this piece particularly valuable. The roughly 11" miniature is constructed from hand cut wood and has been meticulously hand painted to a textured and weathered finish, it retains the remains of dried glue to the base where it was attached to the miniature set during filming. A small "bonus" regarding this piece - in the blue material seen at the bottom of the gravestone (I have been told it is plasticine), there is very obvious glitter stuck within. This glitter was prominently used within all scenes with snow (snowy spiral hill, Christmas town), so some of the material must have transferred over at one point or another. It's neat to also have another piece of Nightmare Before Christmas history be a part of this prop in this way. Originally purchased from The Prop Gallery, COA INCLUDED Please be aware of its condition before purchase. There will be natural wear, due to its age.
