Description: G SCALE CHAMA SAND HOUSE w/ LOW VOLTAGE LIGHTS Based on the D&RGW sand house in the famous Chama yard, this 1:24 scale version of that structure could also work well with slightly larger or smaller scale trains such as 1:22.5 or Gauge 1. The sand house is about 11 1/2" long by 10" deep and it stands about 8" high. The sand corral adds another 20 1/4" to that length, then the sand tower adds another 4 1/4" to the depth. The sand house and corral are two separate structures that simply display next to each other, while the sand tower is permanently attached to the sand house. When displayed together the overall length of both structures is 31 1/4" and the sand tower stands 17 1/2" high. Built from naturally rot and insect resistant Western Red Cedar with a PVC sole plate, this structure has been assembled using galvanized steel fasteners and waterproof adhesives, then it was finished with premium exterior grade waterproofing stains and paints for additional protection and a weathered appearance. Sand tower includes two exterior light fixtures that are wired in parallel with soldered connections to an open interior harness that can easily be connected to just about any low voltage power source. 12V max. No power source or lead wires are included, but the open harness inside the sand house makes it very easy to connect your own. Durable, waterproof PVC roof won't warp or rot and has been painted for the appearance of weathered roll roofing. Real copper roof vents will tarnish over time like an old penny, for a more realistic weathered appearance. A perfect way to add some character to your Chama yard or any other electric or live steam garden gauge layout. Structure includes the air tank and 3 - pallets shown in the photos.
