Description: c.1920s Cream Wool Petticoat Lovely Layering and EmbroideryMother-of-Pearl Button Original Antique Piece Suitable for Museum/Display/Collection ... Or to be worn! [ FEATURES AND DETAILS... ] This is a c.1920s 100% wool winter petticoat. It is a lovely cream color (though my camera keeps trying to make it look white). It has a cotton waistband with a single large mother-of-pearl button, and a floral embroidered and perforated hem with a single-layered construction. Notice the stitch work. It was obviously put together by a skilled seamstress. Measurements are approximately: 20" waist, 29" waist to hem, and 41" across the hem (laid flat). A lovely piece of history, still suitable to wear! [ CONDITION... ] - Nice as-found antique condition -- from a non-smoking environment. Responsibly stored; no signs of abuse or mildew, and no smells -- other than "old wool." - It has some age-related issues: Small moth holes ... actually quite a few of them (see photos), but no larger moth-damaged areas.
