Description: This is a 3 year old bonsai plant. Among the loveliest of Aeoniums, award-winning 'Blushing Beauty' is a branched, upright succulent with tight rosettes of glossy, light green, spoon shape leaves, flushed with red round the edges, but like with all Aeoniums they continually change colour through the seasons. This is not just a top cutting from a big tree. Bonsai trees are normal plants, propagated like any other, but trained using sophisticated techniques to keep them miniature. The styling of these miniature trees involves important techniques like regular pruning and wiring. We started this plant from a baby cutting. It was planted in the ground for one year then we repotted and used aluminum wire to created the shape when their branches still young. We bonsai the plant for almost four years. It looks like a small tree right now and the branching trunk will become thicker with age. You will receive exactly what’s pictured. The plant will ship with bare rooted. It’s a very healthy and pretty plant. Our plants are hand-picked and carefully selected to bring you the best quality possible. We are confident in the quality of our products. If you’re buying multiple items from my list please contact me before you place your order, I can send you a personal list to combine shipping. The best position for this plant is morning sun, however, it can also be grown in bright shade. Plants in shade will grow larger, longer leaves with less color and plants in sun will grow compact and will develop a pink edge. In the cooler months, aeonium will happily grow in full sun. Though Bonsai trees are more delicate than the average indoor plant, aeonium bonsai are good for the outdoors, a few basic rules should enable anyone to take care of their tree properly. Pay particular attention to where you place it and how to water it properly. Repotting To prevent your Bonsai from being pot-bound and ultimately starving to death, it’s crucial to repot, or transplant regularly. A tree becomes pot-bound as it uses up the available nutrients in the soil and the roots grow to the shape of the pot. Due to the lack of space and nutrients, the trees stop growing, and if no action is taken, it will surely die. Repotting or transplanting your Bonsai will resupply the tree with the nutrients it needs to grow and flourish. Water your trees when the soil gets slightly dry. Be sure not to water your tree if the soil is still wet, but don’t let the tree dry out either. As a beginner, use your fingers at about one centimeter deep, (0.4”) to check the soil moisture. If it’s slightly dry, go ahead and water your tree. This will become more obvious as you gain experience. You’ll be able to see, rather than feel when your tree needs watering. Never water on a routine. Keep a close eye on your trees individually to determine when each one needs watering. Avoid watering all of your trees on a daily routine, until you know exactly what you are doing. We ship from Monday to Friday by usps
