Description: Beaded Salver Tray Sterling Silver 1778 London Mono HEC Greyhound Crest George III era English sterling silver round form salver or footed tray, standing on three applied figural feet. It is decorated with beaded rims and features engraved wreath and shield motif in the center, featuring Rampant Greyhound crest with a curly script monogram "HEC" below it. Made by John Schofield of London, 1778.This great 18th century tray is 7" in diameter, weighing 257 grams or 8.29 ozs Troy.The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
