Description: This was not mine originally, and I do not have the ability to test it. I am selling it untested and as-is, with no guarantees of it working. The only flaw I see is that the AA battery pack has corrosion. The entire thing could easily be swapped out, instead of cleaning. Visually, I don't really see anything worth mention. It is flat out fantastic and a real beauty of a piece. You could argue that maybe the handrails are not 100% perfect, but they still look quite decent to me. Fun stuff. About 22" long - maybe 24" or so including the couplers. Top only sits on top of the bottom - it doesn't screw on, as far as I can tell. I was just told this is an Aristocraft engine, so am going with that unless someone tells me otherwise! UPDATE: someone just sent me some interesting info on the engine. For what it's worth, this is the opinion of someone that knows far more than I do: Hi. I own many Aristocraft FA-1 and FB-1 locomotives. In your listing you should mention that this has been heavily modified to run on battery power. This locomotive was not equipped with battery from factory, and received power from the track. All power connections to wheels are removed. I cannot tell from photos if the wireless receiver added with the battery conversion is still present. The top is supposed to be fastened to chassis by 8-10 missing screws. Finally, the wheels show significant use. This is a very old battery conversion and is likely not compatible with newer control systems. New conversions us Li-ion batteries and DCC controllers. This one has lead-acid battery with analog controls. Good Luck. I hope this helps. Interesting. Well, good thing I love the way it looks. I'm happy to sit this one in my display case for a few years.
