Description: Antique Dasher Wood Butter Churn Cedar, 42 in Tall brass loop Vintage Primitive ANTIQUE CEDAR WOOD BUTTER CHURNThis is dasher style butter churn is made from moisture resistant cedar wood. It measures 18" tall to the top of the churn, but 42" tall when you include the dasher. It has a diameter of 8" at the top,10-1/8" at the bottom and weighs 7 lbs 12.4 oz. It is in great condition with a lid and a good dasher. The staves are narrow in width and loops / rings appear to be brass. 3 of the 4 rings are a little loose as the wood is obviously dried out and has shrunk. Authentic as you can see the dasher has been worn from use over time - close up shown in pictures. A nice large size dasher style late 19th or early 20th century churn.
