Description: This exquisite set of 3 early American cut glass champagne flutes are perfect for both antique and wine connoisseurs. The flutes have classic cut panels over a knopped stem with strawberry and fan cut tops, creating a stunning effect in both candle and daylight. Each glass has ground and polished pontiled base. Circa early 19th century. The champagne flutes have slight variation to height, ranging from approximately 7 inches to 7.5 inches. Bases are approximately 2.75-3 inches with openings of approximately 2- 2.25 inches, with minor variations. Provenance: deaccessioned from the Fine Art Museums of San Francisco. Museum inventory number painted on foot but is not permanent and can be removed. The item(s) are antique and sold as is. They may show wear, fading, scratches, original imperfections and/or damage from normal use. One flute has a chip to rim and another to the knopped stem as shown in photos.
