What makes this nickel so rare is the sixth step. If you go to PCGS's web page and look at their MS67+FS example you will see that their TOP NICKEL only has FIVE STEPS! This nickel has NEVER been in circulation or in the hands of another collector. I personally removed this nickel from it's United States Mint Packaging (cello) to take pictures of it. I then placed it inside a 2X2 for safe keeping. My nickels are one of a kind, hand picked "Full Step" nickels. If this nickel was to be graded I believe it would have an estimated value of $25,000.00 (as of 6-1-24) if it grades MS67FS (which I believe it would or higher). I get my information directly from PCGS's web site. I would assume new as well as experienced collectors would verify this information by going to PCGS web site and see for themselves that I am stating the facts correctly. But some buyers need visual aides. ALSO: Please Note the bag mark on the steps is actually very tiny. You have to remember that these pictures are "zooming" in the equivalent of a 5X loop so that you can see the steps in HD pictures. If you were holding the nickel in your hand you would barely see it. That is the only mark on the entire nickel. 2024 UPDATE For the last couple years I have been daring buyers to compare my nickels with PCGS's and NGC's nickels. I would say "Pictures Don't Lie". Well take a look at the attached pictures below. I have heard recently from some of my clients that PCGS and NGC are actually using my nickels that I sold them (my clients), that they sent in to get graded, as their top examples. If you read the feedback left for me in the attached pictures you will read that PCGS just gave a 2017-D Jefferson nickel I sold a grade of MS68FS PL. That is the highest graded business strike coin they have graded. I have attached some other examples my clients have sent me of NGC graded coins and one ANACS. They were graded MS68FS, MS69FS, MS68 "Satin Finish" and MS69 respectively. These are the types of nickels they are receiving from me. PLEASE NOTE: My nickels almost always look better in real life than the pictures I have included. These new HD cameras show reflections, pick-up the flesh tones from my arm or the black on the camera and drive me crazy. That is why I am always taking so many different pictures from different lighting angles. This is a beautiful nickel that is really not shown in the pictures.
