Description: 1952 Twenty Pounds Sterling Banknote The Royal Bank of Scotland Pick Number 319c PMG Very Fine 25 For your World Currency Collection-PCU2092 Details Description: A beautiful very fine large banknote from Scotland. This is the 1st December 1952 twenty pounds sterling note issued by The Royal Bank of Scotland. The uniface banknote is dark blue on yellow and orange underprint on the front. The front of the note shows King George I within a crowned oval flanked by a lion and a unicorn with blue rays behind the image in the top center. It also has a blue and white design to the left. The front has the serial number, the denomination, the date of issue, and two signatures. The back is blank and shows no designs. The note has the name W & A.K. Johnston Ltd of Edinburgh under the design on the front. This particular note has the serial number F86 7028, which is shown in black twice on the front. The banknote has a watermark that spells the words ROYAL BANK OF SCOTLAND arranged within an oval throughout the note. Size: The banknote measures ~9" by ~5". Pick Number: P 319c. Condition: The banknote is graded 25 Very Fine by PMG, and come in a plastic holder so labeled. The holder is also labeled "Annotations" indicating the front and back of the note have graffiti in the form of numbers handwritten in ink and pencil. The note is soiled, wrinkled, has folds and creases. It does not have tears but has nicks and roughness along the edges. The note does not have pinholes and still has all its colors with no appreciable fading. This is a nice-looking example of this rare banknote which would make a great addition to your collection.
