CONDITION In a straight grain red morocco binding with gilt border to boards and gilt title to spine. Externally, slightly rubbed to extremities and head and tail of spine. Slight fading to spine. Small split to leather at head of front joint. Front hinge slightly split but firm. Slight offsetting to extremities of endpapers. Prior owner's ink inscription to front free-endpaper. Booksellers label tipped to rear pastedown. internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities but bright and clean, with just the odd spot to the occasional page. Small loss to lower fore edge of last few pages, not affecting text. Overall Condition: Very Good GLOSSARY OF TERMS Overall Condition (Dustwrapper condition rating is shown after that for the book itself, where a dustwrapper is present) Fine - Very well preserved copy showing very little wear Very Good Indeed - Only one or two minor faults, really a very attractive copy Very Good - Quite a wide term meaning no major faults but probably several smaller ones often expected given the age of the book, but still a respectable copy Good - Meaning not very good.
